My calligraphy journey started back in 2018 when I was preparing for my own wedding.  Initially, my only goal was to write ‘nicely’ on the envelopes containing the invitation cards and in order to do so I signed myself up for a calligraphy workshop to learn the basics.  Beyond my own expectations, I actually enjoyed the workshop far more and decided to practice more and as a result I ended up writing not only the envelopes but also the place cards, menu, welcome board and various other signages for my wedding.

My passion for calligraphy continued to grow after the wedding and I started to explore the world of calligraphy.  Soon, I realized that calligraphy is so much more than ‘just writing’ and by practicing more and more, I was able to hone my skill in creating these imperfectly perfect lines first on paper and later on different surfaces.  From a traditional hand lettering script, I then ventured into creating my own scripts so that it would better match the product or event while really being able to push my creative boundaries.

Eventually, I came in touch with engraving, which has now quickly become my favourite technique.  Being able to create a design with a traditional or custom created script and permanently engraving this design on a keepsake makes everything come together for me.  After creating different keepsakes for friends and family and receiving both positive feedback and a lot of encouragement in return, I decided to then turn this hobby into a business.

Over the last year, I have gotten to meet and speak to many different clients, from different backgrounds, all with different ideas and desires.  Working with such a different clientele gives me the opportunity to express my creativity and to keep thinking outside of the box when required to go above and beyond to exceed the expectations of the client.  In case you are interested to work with me and to make your ideas become reality, feel free to send me a message anytime!
